grandstanding
Frank (otherwise known as BUD) its not grandstanding or whining when its true. Your skipping along with your ridiculous posts like nothing is wrong when so far there's been a ton of shit wrong. It gets frustrating when you are running this league like you are king and all the other owners are a bunch of court jesters. Part of me is actually starting to get some satisfaction at watching things screw up because I know its all you to blame. I dont know you so I dont give a shit in saying what I believe is true. I dont know why the other owners aren't complaining. Maybe its because they are friends and dont want to hurt your obviously very sensitive feelings. But then again maybe they are. You wouldnt tell anyone if they were because this is a perfect league, right? BUD, take the constructive criticism while the league can still be fixed. As for not going to you or Tom directly, I have gone to Tom and he knows and has known exactly how I feel. The reason I am blogging these thoughts is because I am wondering if anyone else feels the same way. Like I said maybe its just me, but I have been told its not just me. I think thats why an important email is coming out Friday or Saturday. I look forward to your response where you will use big words with references to garbage I could care less about and to be honest half the time don't even understand. Please, BUD use those big words so you show how much smarter you are than all of us courtjesters. I implore you, listen to others and fix the league. I know Tom has put a ton of work into this and alot of heart and soul, don't ruin it by being stubborn. Possibly the most ridiculous thing I ever read.
It might be time to point out that I'm not the commissioner. Tom is, and I think he's doing everything he can to make sure 20+ people are happy. We believed we were all set with a reliable stat service that we used for the past 7 years and then the week before the season began they changed some of their most important features for whatever reason. We scrambled to find a new service that would provide for our needs and we chose one. Unfortunately, there have been glitches that still need to be worked out and I think Tom is now on the site administrator's friends and family plan since they've talked on the phone so much.
I believe it's better to have all the facts before worrying everyone needlessly. (That's what causes a panic, Chicken Little.) When I agreed to help run this league that's one of the responsibilities I took on. I assumed all the other owners have other things going on in their lives and wouldn't want to be barraged with e-mails about the behind the scenes technical stuff. I guess that's what happens when I assume: I make an ass out of you.
As for my use of "big words," is it the actual length of the words that you're having trouble with? (Look I ended a sentence with a preposition--is that ignorant enough for you?) Or are you intimidated when someone has learned new words since Sesame Street? I apologize because once again I assumed I was communicating with fellow adults. (And, for the record, jokingly referring to yourself as "dumb" doesn't make it any less true. Or sad.)
And, yes, you are grandstanding. It's obvious you're looking to instigate something for whatever warped reasons you have. I get e-mails all the time from other owners asking questions or seeking clarifications on different topics. But if you need attention so badly, post away.
You mentioned you don't know me, but I think those that do are shocked at how restrained I'm being. I'm actually more concerned with your mental health because I don't understand what's wrong with you.
